Geographic location

The Glodeni rayon is located in the northwestern part of the country, in the Prut River meadow. The distance from Glodeni to Chisinau, the capital of the country, is of 168 km. It borders in the northeast with the Riscani rayon, in the southeast with the Falesti rayon, and in the west with Romania.
