Geographic location
The Soroca rayon is located in the northeastern part of the Republic of Moldova, having direct borders to the northwest with the Donduseni rayon, to the west with the Drochia rayon, to the south with the Floresti rayon, to the south-east with the Administrative-Territorial Unit on the left bank of the Dniester River and to the east with Ukraine.

Vision on developing the Business Support Infrastructure:
Economy Section of the Soroca RC:
- Promoting the investment image of the district;
- Organizing training for SMEs with the support of Organizations aiming to support the SME sector;
- Production of a newsletter of Soroca producers to promote production from the rayon;
- Promoting the territorial development of partnerships and cross-border and regional cooperation;
- Promoting the development of the Association of Stone Processors from Cosauti (the only one in the country) with the support of RDA North;
- Establishing a multifunctional Training Center based on the Soroca Joint Information and Consultancy Office for training, information and schooling for potential entrepreneurs from the town and rayon, support in developing business plans, access to State Programs and other sources of business financing with the RDA North support).
Business Incubator Soroca:
- Implementation of the “Promotion of Rural Entrepreneurship” project financed by CPD Estonia, round II;
- Development and implementation of the “Equal opportunities for all young people interested in developing their own business” project;
- Providing institutional support to residents in accessing national and international funds.
- Creation of the “Business Garden” in the Soroca rayon, to further support the incubator residents.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry Soroca:
- Promoting local producers through participation in forums, national and international exhibitions.
- Increasing the responsibility of the entrepreneurs for the quality of production manufactured by participating in the “Trade Mark of the Year”, etc.
- Seminars for large entrepreneurs on enterprise management, their participation in training in EU countries, etc.
The “Dacia” Youth Center:
- Involving youth in activities to promote initiating their own business: Seminars, Business Plan Youth Contests, etc.
